The zigzag sewing foot with glide sole #52D easily handles sewing difficult materials such as leather or plastic with its non-stick coating. It sews over the heavy surface without difficulty and therefore leaves a  clean, even stitch pattern. The design of the zigzag presser foot with sliding sole #52D is the same as the classic zigzag presser foot #0 and can be just as useful as the classic zigzag presser foot #0.
